The Toy Trust has revealed figures for its 2022 efforts after a year that saw it distributing almost a quarter of a million pounds in grants to good causes.

Its year-end round-up showed the charitable organisation supporting some 54 UK-based children’s charities, as well as distributing £213,250 in grants to charities.

It’s also raised a massive £6.64 million since launch in 1991.

In the review the Toy Trust said: “Throughout 2022, The Toy Trust has continued on its mission to provide support to children’s charities throughout the UK, bringing relief to children and their families most in need.

“There is no doubt that for many charities, this year has been one of the hardest in recent memory. We are proud to have supported a wide range of inspiring initiatives and projects covering all areas of the UK, all with the aim of bettering the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children.”

As well as listing all the children’s charities it had supported this year, the Toy Trust also reminded the industry about its big 2023 projects. These include the media auction that will give highly valuable media slots for cash bids, with the online auction due to start in January. Additionally, it has pledged to give more details about its month- long May Mayhem initiative aimed at covering 18,000 kilometres in distance across the industry in the new year too.

The review added: “Thank you for your support throughout this year! In 2023, and with the help of your fundraising, we will continue on our quest to make the lives of children in need better.”
