The Toy Trust’s 2022 Big Challenge fundraising day for summer 2022 has been confirmed for Saturday 18th June and will be based at Oxford Wet N Wild in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

An alternative ‘wet n weird’ triathlon featuring a 5km / 10km walk or run or 50km circular cycling event taking in the Oxfordshire countryside are on offer and NEW FOR 2022 is an exciting new all-inclusive Dragon Boat Racing tournament!

Dragon Boats for up to 10 rowers will be available with entries from full teams, individuals or small groups all welcomed. Individuals or smaller groups that wish to enter will be joined to form full boat teams. All boats will feature a drummer and qualified instructor. A minimum age of 16 is required to enter.

Each team, small group or whether entering as an individual will be required to nominate a team representative/ captain who will be required to register / manage their team members.

Participants with younger family members are welcome to join the walking events.

The event day will include a BBQ lunch with refreshments for all participants with family friendly games and activities available on site and all participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt. 

Funds raised through the BIG CHALLENGE event will support the Toy Trust’s nominated UK based charities throughout 2022 with particular emphasis given to support for charities that work to improve and enhance children’s mental health in what has been a challenging period for children as well as all throughout the UK over the past two years.

We have designed the event to be as inclusive, challenging and fun for as many people as possible with the hope that people from across the industry will get involved.  I am sure this year’s Dragon Boat Tournament will be a great hit for the industry to get involved in.

As always, we hope to encourage new teams, however big or small, to get involved in what has become an amazingly uplifting and fun, team building day that raises massive amounts of money for the disadvantaged children the Toy Trust supports.”

Places are available at £100 per person and teams or individuals can register interest HERE with full registration forms to follow shortly.

In what is expected to be an extremely popular event, early applications for places are fully recommended!
