Get ready for some Midsummer Mayhem, as the Toy Trust has unveiled its big fundraising drive for 2024.

Dubbed Midsummer Mayhem, the campaign will run for three months throughout May, June and July, to maximise charity cash generating opportunities for the toy industry.

The Trust is hoping toy companies will collectively take part in all kinds of fundraising activities for the three months, at times that suit them.

Individuals and groups can make up their own minds as to what they do, but there are suggestions here https://www.toytrust.co.uk/fundraising/midsummer-mayhem/fundraising-ideas/

And for the first time, the Toy Trust is working with another organisation, Run for Charity, which has secured a number of places for popular events and fundraisers this year, which will be available for Toy Trust entrants. These include the Colchester Stampede 10k (a 10km run around Colchester Zoo), The Peak District Trek Challenge, Run Alton Towers or Thorpe theme park. The 2024 announcement also noted: “Midsummer Mayhem is designed to include all from within the toy industry, with non-physical challenges also encouraged as part of the summer of fundraising. The Toy Trust is encouraging people to get involved in any way that they can to help raise money for the many disadvantaged and disabled children in need they support throughout the year.

“As always, the event will aim to raise as much as possible for the Toy Trust whilst encouraging the industry to have great fun at the same time, and the event offers ample opportunity for the toy industry to demonstrate its creativity by coming up with unusual challenges, modes of transport, fancy dress etc. “
