The Puppet Company is honoured to be teaming up with The Brain Tumour Charity to welcome a brand-new character into its Eco Sockette collection. Introducing Hope, a truly special puppet designed to bring courage and smiles, while supporting a vital cause.
Launching into the best-selling range, the brand-new design is bursting with the charity’s vibrant shades of turquoise blue, red and white, ready to bring some magic to playtime and lift the spirits of those that need it most.
The brilliant long sleeved, knitted glove puppet comes complete with a squeaky tongue to get the conversation started and inspire imaginative and sensory play – not only is it eye-catching, it’s highly functional too. Tested to the highest safety standards, this fabulously fun creation works brilliantly alone, but is even better when used with some of its other Sockette friends.
“We are honoured to have partnered with The Brain Tumour Charity and to be able to support the vital work they do”
This brand-new puppet has a truly special place in the hearts of the family team behind The Puppet Company. Following the tragic loss of their co-founder and family member, Peter to a stage 4 glioblastoma in 2021, the family were inspired to honour his legacy with the creation of wonderful Hope, a charming puppet that will give back. For every Hope Sockette sold, £1 will be donated to The Brain Tumour Charity to help fund life-saving research and support services.
Sue Lockey, co-founder of The Puppet Company, said: “We are honoured to have partnered with The Brain Tumour Charity and to be able to support the vital work they do. Sadly, whilst some cancer treatments have advanced, it’s not the same with all brain tumours and we hear more and more now of fellow sufferers, so we would love to help change this. Our Hope puppet was created in memory of Peter to help other families, to continue his legacy to share joy, and with the Hope that this will help bring us one step closer to a cure.”
Launching during Brain Tumour Awareness month, Hope will also be featured at the Twilight Walk, with members of The Puppet Company and Lockey family walking with Hope at the event.
Hope is more than a puppet – it’s a symbol of love, kindness, support, resilience the power of community, and most importantly, Hope that someday a cure can be found.
