Shimmering Skies, the fifth set in the Disney Lorcana award-winning trading card game (TCG) franchise will launch in August.
The new set introduces new characters and evolved game mechanics while also giving players a glimpse of what’s next for the realm now that the power-hungry Ursula glimmer has been defeated. Shimmering Skies will be released first at local game stores, Disney Stores and Disney Parks on 9 August – It will then be available from retailers and the online Disney Store on 23 August.
There will also be a Shimmering Skies foil card featuring alternative art that will be available for a limited time in new, stickered copies of the Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil board game. It will launch at the beginning of July and be available at local gaming stores.
Ravensburger’s Disney Lorcana TCG is one in which players take on the role of Illumineers and wield magic ink to summon a team of Disney characters known as glimmers, who appear in both familiar and fantastical ways. The game was designed to be easy to learn for TCG newcomers while still offering strategic depth for experienced players.
