The Grinch returns for the festive season

From stealing Christmas to stealing the podcast mike, The Grinch is back and really getting into the podcast thing. Wondery and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have announced that their breakout hit original series ‘‘Tis The Grinch Holiday Podcast” will return just in time for the festivities, with comedian James Austin Johnson of Saturday Night Live returning to voice the beloved curmudgeon himself, The Grinch. The festive variety show-style podcast follows The Grinch as he stubbornly refuses the joys of the season, cozies up to hotshot celebrity guests, and investigates a brand-new mystery that puts him right in the centre of another dastardly Christmas caper.

The return of the showfora second season is a hilarious and entertaining podcast for the entire family to listen to until Christmas and beyond, with celebrity guests that kids and parents alike will want to listen to. This season’s guests include Emmy Award-winning actor Jon Hamm, iconic actor and filmmaker Danny DeVito and many more. The Grinch will lovingly roast them all like chestnuts on an open fire with his curmudgeonly charm. So grab your hot cocoa and cozy slippers to find out if The Grinch’s heart will triple this season – or if he’ll send his guests tumbling back down Mount Crumpit.

Susan Brandt, president & CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, said: “We’re thrilled with the creative approach the Wondery team developed for Season 2 of the podcast. There have been many Grinch iterations over the years, but James Austin Johnson brings a fresh level of comedic intelligence. We can’t wait for our fans to hear the new episodes and laugh their way through this Holiday season.”

The second season will debut with the first two episodes released on November 25 on Wondery+, Amazon Music, and everywhere listeners get their podcasts, with new episodes releasing every Monday through to December 23.
