Marking the tiny toy shop’s 24th anniversary, The Entertainer has announced the reopening of its smallest shop at Bekonscot Model Village, the world’s original and oldest.
Spanning one and a half acres of beautifully maintained gardens, Bekonscot (between Beaconsfield and the M25) features an extensive model railway and intricately detailed buildings that enchant visitors of all ages.
“Our wonderful little world offers visitors of all ages a fantastic day out and we’re sure that, during their visit, guests will enjoy seeing The Entertainer’s newly refurbished store in-person, once again”

George Hill, model maker at Bekonscot, said: “Our wonderful little world offers visitors of all ages a fantastic day out and we’re sure that, during their visit, guests will enjoy seeing The Entertainer’s newly refurbished store in-person, once again.”
The Entertainer’s Addo Play creative team took 40 hours and used four tubes of superglue to complete the refurbishment. The shop now has 62 tiny boxes sitting alongside 17 mini footballs and 21 miniature toys. Each is more than 90 per cent smaller than the original products.
Teresa Niemandt, creative director at Addo Play, said: “We spent hours making each toy, crafting, and redecorating the toy shop. Although the shop doors of The Entertainer at Bekonscot Model Village will never open, we hope that the work we have done will inspire and bring joy to the many little visitors peeking through the toy shop windows.”
Visitors are invited to experience the magic of this historic model village, where every detail tells a story and every train sparks the imagination.
