The toy industry is looking forward to attending the international trade fair for toys, hobbies and leisure Spielwarenmesse, which takes place from 2 February to 6 February at the Nuremberg exhibition centre.

To ensure that international visitors can travel without problems, the show organiser Spielwarenmesse eG has advised attendees to make themselves familiar with the relevant travel advice in plenty of time and be aware of the current regulations.

Spielwarenmesse eG said: ‘In general, before travelling to Germany, visitors must have evidence of vaccination, recovery from COVID-19 or a negative test. In addition, before travelling from a high-risk area, digital registration is required. For vaccinated participants at trade fairs travelling from a high-risk area, there are no quarantine requirements  – this applies to all those who have been fully vaccinated using one of the four vaccines recognised in Germany.

‘Even unvaccinated business travellers from high-risk areas can come to Germany for up to five days without having to quarantine”

‘Even unvaccinated business travellers from high-risk areas can come to Germany for up to five days without having to quarantine. Because of the changing situation in individual countries, however, visitors should always follow the latest travel advice. The website of the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) provides a good summary: www.auma.de/en/exhibit/legal-matters/entry-requirements.

‘To ensure that everyone can benefit from successful participation at the Spielwarenmesse, the safety and hygiene measures in place are regularly reviewed in the light of the current situation and are published on www.spielwarenmesse.de/en/hygiene.’
