A collaboration between The Good Play Guide and The Toy Association™ has reached new heights as their curated “Back to School STEAM Toy Shopping List” gains substantial recognition in the U.S. media landscape, securing coverage in leading press outlets and television segments.
The list spotlights 25 officially accredited STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths) toys, meticulously selected to enhance children’s learning experiences throughout the academic year. Parents and shoppers now have an easy access to a diverse range of playthings, which include hands-on building sets as well as engaging activities designed to gamify mathematical concepts and spark exploration into outer space, natural sciences, and more.
Each product featured on the recently released list has successfully earned the coveted “STEAM Stamp of Approval” after rigorous evaluation by Dr. Gummer’s Good Play Guide independent review. The toys making the cut align with the strict criteria established in The Toy Association’s STEAM Toy Assessment Framework, developed in partnership with The Good Play Guide. The evaluation process includes professional observations of children engaging with the toys, followed by a comprehensive assessment by The Good Play Guide, using a scientifically proven toy evaluation method endorsed by Dr. Amanda Gummer, a renowned expert in neuropsychology with over two decades of experience working with children and families.
