With a marching band and a whole cast of costumed characters, Spielwarenmesse has flung open its doors in Nuremberg.
The band marched around the concourse outside the press centre and down into the foyer of the NCC Ost, one of the entrances to the vast show area, leading a cast that included SpongeBob SquarePants, some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bluey, Peppa Pig, an assortment of elves (not on shelves), Sesame Street and PAW Patrol characters and more.
They posed with Spielwarenmesse executive board members Florian Hess, Christian Ulrich and Jens Pflüger and helped officially open this year’s show, which runs through until Saturday.
