Simba Smoby Toys UK has announced that its Smoby and Aquaplay brands will return as sponsors at this year’s Gloworm festival as part of the brands’ family-focused marketing calendar.
Smoby and Aquaplay’s partnership with the Newark-based festival will be even bigger and better for 2023 with dedicated festival zone sponsorship and a fully branded Smoby Play Zone with a wider range for families to enjoy.
The Play Zone will celebrate the Gloworm ethos of playing in a warm, welcoming and creative environment. During the weekend long event, which takes place in August, festival goers will be invited to enjoy a brilliantly fun selection of Smoby’s best-selling roleplay toys and playhouses, whilst also giving little ones the opportunity to zoom down some awesome Smoby slides and splash away with Aquaplay

Speaking about the Smoby Aquaplay partnership with the festival, Richard Walpole, Festival Director at Gloworm Events, said: “Outdoor creative play has always been a huge focus for us here at Gloworm and so we are thrilled to be welcoming Smoby back to the festival. The Smoby Play Zone was hugely popular at Gloworm 2022 and so it’s great to be able expand the space, this year, and bring AquaPlay to life in its own area.”
This collaboration with Gloworm Festival forms part of the firm’s wider 2023 marketing campaigns, for the Smoby and AquaPlay brands, which also includes TV, a celebrity ambassadorship with presenter Ashley Louise James, influencer outreach, and social media campaigns.
