Ravensburger builds on Lorcana’s success with a new set launch, plus more card games, board games and puzzles galore, and Brio World lines for the little ones
2024 was a year of evolution for Disney Lorcana TCG as the brand celebrated its first anniversary and launched the hotly anticipated Disney Lorcana TCG Gateway. Designed to recruit new players through simple, easy-to-follow gameplay, this game opens up the magic of Disney Lorcana TCG to families across the UK and Ireland. Ravensburger also recently introduced its first dedicated Disney Lorcana TCG lifestyle ad campaign to drive awareness. Celebrating selling over one billion cards since launch and now available in 15 countries worldwide with more destinations to come, spring will see the launch of Set 7 and the World Championships taking place – another big year ahead for Disney Lorcana TCG.
There’s more news from the company’s card game portfolio, with Ravensburger set to double its offering in this category over the coming year. The popular board game Eye Found It has been translated to a handy card-game format, while Level 8, which has already demonstrated international success will be available in the UK and Republic of Ireland for the first time in 2025 with Disney Stitch and Super Mario Bros. editions in the brand’s line-up.
The fowl-play continues throughout the year with recent launch Oh My Pigeons! and the company’s social party game category also grows this year with a new game that will challenge players to read the minds of highly unexpected items! Get a first glimpse of this introduction at Toy Fair.

Mycelia’s beautifully-illustrated, fungus-themed play captured the imaginations of game players and award judges alike in 2024, and Ravensburger will reveal a new addition to the ‘cosy’ game arena at Toy Fair. Developed by the same team, Gloomies offers enchanting two-phase gameplay, with players taking on the role of intergalactic beings who love to grow flowers. With its captivating illustrative style, this worldbuilding game is designed for players from age 10 to adult. Fans of the Villainous game franchise should watch out for a series of exciting new editions at the show, too.
Bridging games and puzzles, Ravensburger delivers Speedy Puzzle, reflecting the growing interest in speed puzzling across the world. Speedy Puzzle challenges children to be the first to complete a puzzle and press the buzzer. But, fun action cards such as ‘sing a song while puzzling’ might just slow things down a bit! The launch offering will also include a Disney Stitch and Pokémon edition.
The puzzle story continues for the UK’s leader in adult and children’s puzzles, with the introduction of 120 new puzzles in 2025 across jigsaw category offerings. In licensed puzzles, Ravensburger aims to continue the momentum that has seen it achieve all 10 top spots in the children’s licensed puzzles. Among the new properties joining the company’s portfolio this year are Rubble & Crew, Hello Kitty and Unicorn Academy.
Spring-loaded learning fun comes in the form of Crash Cats from brainteaser brand ThinkFun. Players work their way through 40 challenges as they tilt and turn the playing grid, trying not to make the red-helmeted cat fly into the air.
And, a new ThinkFun Friends collection introduces preschoolers to early logic play with the help of a cast of cute characters.
Finally, there’s innovation once again from the GraviTrax interactive ball track system with new GraviTrax SkyTrax, which is set for an autumn launch.
As expected from this multi-award-winning brand, this format is compatible with other GraviTrax products and introduces an evolution of the action tile format that will offer new ways to play.
