Paramount and Hasbro’s trailer for Transformers One has arrived, and the livestream for the film’s promotion was beamed into space.
It was screened inside a spacecraft that launched from Earth and travelled 125,000 feet into outer space. Paramount, via star Chris Hemsworth’s Instagram, did a livestream of the spacecraft launch followed by the first look at the trailer.
It is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, Transformers One features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth as the young Optimus Prime, and Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita, Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee. The film is directed by Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary, screenings of the classic 1980s show will be shown at selected UK cinemas next month, complete with extra bonus bits too.
It’s a good time to be a Transformers fan, and Transformers One will hit UK cinemas in October.
