We are delighted to announce Toys ‘n’ Playthings new editor Clare Turner
Toys ‘n’ Playthings has a fantastic new editor. Following in the footsteps of Georgie & Mirella, Clare Turner joins the team. She has a wealth of knowledge in B2B media and publishing. Â
She commented: “I’m delighted to join Lema Publishing as the new editor of Toys ‘n’ Playthings. I have more than 20 years of print and digital editorial experience in a B2B publishing environment, specialising in retail, so I’ve probably seen more than a few of you at one or another trade exhibition, where so many paths cross.Â
“Throughout my career I have worked in senior roles on various B2B titles and have always loved the challenge of learning about different retail markets, from DIY and electricals to furniture and luxury goods. I most recently served as the editor of Housewares magazine and its website, where I was actively involved in organising the title’s annual awards event, along with its exhibitor presence at Spring Fair.  “I’m hugely looking forward to embarking on the next stage of my career in what is a fresh new market for me, editing Toys ‘n’ Playthings. I very much hope my contribution will have a positive and creative impact on this well-established and hugely respected magazine, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2021. Toys ‘n’ Playthings has long been a pillar of the toy trade and I can’t wait to start building on that success within a great family business and friendly working environment.
“The one constant in retailing is change and from my observations, the toy market is no exception. I’m thrilled to be joining the team during this exciting time for the industry and I can’t wait to meet you all in person – as soon as it’s safe to do so!”  Toys ‘n’ Playthings Publisher Mark Naish added; “In what has been a tumultuous year for many (ourselves included), I’m delighted that Clare has joined the TNP team. Between her and TNP’s ad manager Athee we look forward to bringing the industry the best exciting, informative content to, as we like to say, help everyone sell more!’ Â
