Rubies Masquerade Co. UK are excited to announce the appointment of Tim Mulhall, previously of Hornby Hobbies Ltd., as its new Chief Executive Officer from the 1st August.
With over 25 years of experience in business transformation and sales growth, Tim joins the world’s largest designer, manufacturer and distributor of costumes and accessories to head up the UK organisation.
Tim’s extensive multifaceted experience in design, manufacturing, marketing, sales, B2B and B2C channels lends itself perfectly to the role of Chief Executive, where he will be responsible for the company’s administration and broader sales and operations strategy. Tim will of course be working alongside the Rubies Pan EU leadership group to continue expansion across markets.

In his previous role as Chief Operating Officer of Hornby Hobbies Ltd., Tim achieved 400% growth within the Hornby International business units over 4 years, as well as being one of the leaders responsible for reviving the toy company. On top of this, Hornby won Chamber of Commerce Exporter of the Year in 2022 and were shortlisted for the Queens Award for Enterprise. Historically, he has extensive experience in Strategic Sales Development at national companies including Oxford Diecast Ltd.
Tim also managed the Overseas and UK/Export businesses within Hornby to grow sales, profits and increase global market share, restructuring teams, relaunching e-commerce and bringing on board new licenses for the company. In his spare time, he is also on the management board of the British Toy and Hobby Association.
