The kids, teens, parents, and family market intelligence experts at The Insights Family have ben visited by the government’s minister for exports to celebrate its international expansion and to hear more about its plans for the future.

Lord Offord from the Department for Businenss and Trade made the trip to see the company – a TnP columnist – as part of its Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme.

The initiative is made up of northern-based businesses and the visit came hot on the heels of the Insights Family being recognised as an export champion and picking up the UK MarTech company of the year award. Some 85% of its revenue comes from international sales. The peer was joined by Liam Pearce, Jenny Mooney, and Marian Sudbury from the Department for International Trade who met with The Insights Family founder Nick Richardson as well as the company’s strategic growth officer Donald McIntosh, and SVP marketing and partnerships Rachel Bardill.

It was a pleasure to meet with The Insights Family to see how, through new trade deals and removal of market access barriers, we’re helping more businesses boost their exports and sell their innovative products made in the UK around the world.”

Nick Richardson added: “We were delighted to host Lord Offord and his delegation and talk through The Insights Family’s progress to date. As one who is recognised as an Export Champion and one of the fastest growing businesses who are part of the Northern Powerhouse. Its fair to say that we have enjoyed significant support from organisations such as Business Growth Hub, DIT and Innovate UK along our journey from start up to scale up, that said there are a number of issues and challenges that we have had to or not yet been able to overcome, which hopefully in time will be removed to further enable innovative organisations such as ours to thrive internationally, bringing more jobs and opportunities for individuals across the North and beyond.
