LEGO is launching a lavish Harry Potter-related Hogwart’s Express set with a major promotion and competition offering franchise fans the chance to build the set and others and stay in an actual replica of the train from the books and film.
The competition, at www.lego.com/howarts-express, offers entrants the chance to scoop top prizes which offer the real-life Hogwart’s experience complete with a film screening and one night’s stay in a luxury carriage in an evening “peppered with moments of LEGO and Harry Potter magic”.
It launches the official Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Collector’s Edition, which features a mammoth 5,000-plus pieces, more than 20 minifigures, and a replica of the train more than a metre long.
Marcos Bessa, LEGO Designer commented: “The Harry Potter movies ignite that feeling of magic within us all. When we were working on this set, we wanted to bring to life different moments from across the movies. Whether your favourite is the original trio meeting on the train or moments from movies later in the series, this set really brings back spellbinding memories from all of our favourite parts of the Harry Potter films.”
The set launches on August 31 and will retail at £429.99.
