With a fanfare led by, among others, the cast of West End musical The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Hamleys has pulled the curtain back on its Christmas windows.

In an unveiling attended by the singing Narnians, alongside star Samantha Womack, musical supergroup SVN, viral star Rosie McClelland, “whimsical” LED ballerinas and singer Joe Palmer, Hamleys unveiled its seasonal displays.

The retailer has partnered with Disney, Schleich and Hasbro Gaming for its 2022 windows. The Disney collaboration comes in the form of an Avatar-themed display ahead of the release of the eagerly-awaited sequel Avatar: The Way Of Water, due at cinemas this winter. It features, as Hamleys noted, “watery LED backgrounds and glow in the dark coral”.

The Hasbro and Schleich windows feature “animals in a snow-scape with festive décor and magical additions, such as a lit Christmas tree”.
The opening of the windows was also matched by the Regent Street flagship store throwing open the doors of its Christmas store in the third floor.
Sumeet Yadav, CEO, Hamleys, said “This year we’re proud to partner with such iconic brands as Disney, Hasbro Gaming and Schleich for our Christmas Windows. We know how much families enjoy visiting our stores during the festive season, to really experience the magic of Christmas, and our windows will certainly add to that. The unveiling today officially marks our Christmas season open, and we can’t wait to welcome children, and their families in-store to create magical memories with us.”
