Goliath has acquired the licence to a popular independent game at the same time as adding further additions to its popular Floor Is Lava franchise.
The global operation has picked up the licence for Green Team Wins, a family game night title developed by inventor Nathan Thorton and 25th Century Games.
The game play rewards those who know how their fellow players will answer, with the correct response seeing players join the Green Team and win points.
It was developed and originally published by 25th Century Games and company founder Chad Elkins explained: “When we originally released Green Team Wins, we knew it was a super fun game, but had no idea how quickly buzz surrounding the game would catch on. After our initial print run sold out, the decision to team up with Goliath to scale the game to an even broader audience was an easy one.”
“Green Team Wins is an absolute riot, you’ll be addicted after just a few rounds with your friends & family”

“Green Team Wins is an absolute riot, you’ll be addicted after just a few rounds with your friends & family,” says Brian Weiss, President of North America at Goliath. “Partners like 25th Century feel like an extension of the Goliath family, because of the values we share:they’re passionate about games, are embedded in the community, and are energized to bring new ideas to new categories.”
Meanwhile, the company has released not one but two sequels to The Floor is Lava, with the The Floor Is Lava Hot Zone! adding to gameplay, while The Lawn Is Lava is an outdoor take on the popular family game.
“Despite the growing usage of technology, families still reach for a classic board game and appreciate its aptitude for spending quality time together,” says Brian Weiss, General Manager at Goliath. “And as a family-owned company, we are thrilled to be further broadening our roster of toys and games that do just that.”
