GAMES Workshop, the maker of Warhammer, said it was in “great shape” as profit jumped as the company geared up to launch a new TV series with Amazon.
In its half-yearly report, the gaming firm said revenue reached £247m in the 26 weeks to 26 November 2023 up from £226m in the previous year.
Operating profit also leaped to £94.5m up from £83.6m in the same period the year before.

In its statement, the group also noted that, the record results were “driven by the launch of a significant number of new products across all of our IPs and the ongoing performance of products we launched in previous periods”.
In other related news, Games Workshop’s chief financial officer, Rachel Tongue will step down after 27 years with the fantasy figurine manufacturer and retailer as the company reports record profits.
Tongue joined Games Workshop in September 1996 as group finance director after working as a corporate tax consultant. In November 2020 she took on the role of chief financial officer.
During her tenure the company’s shares increased some 2,000 per cent and are among the most expensive on the FTSE 250.
Games Workshop thanked Tongue and said that she had “played a huge part in the company’s success”.
