The Toy Retailers Association has announced the full list of DreamToys which it predicts will be the most sought-after this Christmas. The roll call showcases 81 toys chosen by a panel of retailers and industry experts, including representatives from buying groups AIS and Toymaster; specialist chains Smyths Toys Superstores, SMF Toytown, The Entertainer and Hamleys; and department store group Selfridges. The panel was supported by market analysts from The NPD Group.
DreamToys selection committee chairman Gary Grant, who is also the founder and executive chairman of toy chain The Entertainer, commented: “This year’s list represents a mixture of toys from classics for the whole family such as Monopoly, to innovative and new products that will impress under the Christmas tree. We know toys have played a vital role over the past few years and we hope they will continue to bring joy and families together over the festive period.â€
He added: “Our full DreamToys list of 81 toys demonstrates the depth and breadth of products available to consumers this Christmas. All industries are tackling some supply chain challenges this year, but this full list represents the wide range of choice and quality on offer, meaning no child will miss out this Christmas.â€
The list is divided into eight categories and from these the 12 Top Toys were selected. The toys are listed in alphabetical order and don’t represent a ranking.
