Remember the 2010 American animated fantasy film, How to Train your Dragon, loosely based on the 2003 book of the same name by Cressida Cowell? The Rotten Tomatoes reviews were near universally impressed, giving it an overall 99% rating. It was directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois and produced by Bonnie Arnold. The story told of a misfit Viking teenager seeing a chance to change the course of his clan’s future when he befriended an injured dragon. There were two sequels, in 2014 and 2019, with Dean DeBlois directing both.
AND NOW … and now there’s a live action adaptation set to be released in June 2025. Dean DeBlois is still at the dragon’s helm. We’ve seen the teaser trailer, released just last night, and it’s so much fun. And here it is for you …
