Disney has released the first trailer for Elio in 2025, Pixar’s summer sci-fi adventure. The film is a “comedic misadventure” and centres on a “space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession.”
Elio is an 11-year-old who finds himself transported across the galaxy and is mistaken for the intergalactic Ambassador for Planet Earth. Voiced by Yonas Kibreab, space fanatic Elio has one big wish: to get abducted by aliens. He is obsessed, and it’s affecting his Earthly existence.
The boy finds a way to beam a verbal plea into the void: “If any aliens are listening, please come and get me. OK, bye, love you!”
When Elio is mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader, he must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be.”
