Cobi flies the Scotsman to the Railway Museum

Cobi has announced that it has signed the Flying Scotsman licence on a worldwide deal. This licence will enable Cobi to grow within this category and complement the current eleven-strong range of steam railway products within it.

Lee Crocker, Cobi UK country manager, said: “Flying Scotsman is possibly the most famous steam locomotive in the world and we are really excited about adding this incredible train to our category. For over 25 years, Cobi have been producing construction bricks, with an emphasis on scaled military vehicles including tanks, planes and ships. The introduction of Flying Scotsman is another important historical licence and adds further strength to the brand.”

“We’re thrilled to add Cobi to our exciting licensing programme, this product is a fabulous addition to everything we do with this iconic locomotive”

Gwyneth Campling, senior partnerships manager said on behalf of the Railway Museum: “We’re thrilled to add Cobi to our exciting licensing programme, this product is a fabulous addition to everything we do with this iconic locomotive.”

Cobi is based in southern Poland, in the city of Mielec, which is known all over the world for creating some of the most unique and detailed scaled brick models, with historical accuracy and design.

Planned street date for Flying Scotsman is April 2025 and the first model will be exhibited at London Toy Fair in January 2025.
