The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA), which is organising next month’s Toy Fair, issued the following statement today (Friday December 17)

“We are all looking forward to Toy Fair and are working hard to deliver a great Toy Fair 2022 at Olympia London. We are continuing to follow the latest government advice in regard to health matters and requirements for events of our type.

“In light of the rapidly changing and uncertain COVID-19 pandemic with the Omicron variant, we are awaiting information on any further government safety measures, which are expected and may include some restrictions. When these are known and assessed, we will of course inform our participants and visitors of any new developments.

“We will make a further announcement when this information is available and would aim to make another statement in the afternoon of Wednesday January 5 at the latest. In the meantime, we advise companies to exercise prudence on undertaking expenditure on stand materials and construction in case the situation or requirements necessitate changes.

“May we take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding and patience and to wish you and your families, friends and colleagues a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.”
