Bill Dowle celebrated a special Birthday recently and Clive Jones organized a lunch to commemorate the occasion. Mon Plaisir in Monmouth Street was the location chosen, that Bill told TnP’s Malcolm Naish, was a regular haunt in his busy buying days. No doubt discussing with fellow buyers how best they could extract a few extra quid from their various suppliers!
For those younger readers, Bill was a toy buyer at BHS and later Woolies that saw him at all the shows and of course Hong Kong for many years.
