Basic Fun! is set to celebrate a trio of anniversaries at Toy Fair, with Care Bears, Tonka and K’NEX all marking big milestones this year.
Care Bears is turning 40 and to commemorate the occasion, master toy partner Basic Fun! is inviting fans to take a trip down memory lane with its Care Bears plush collection. The range will see the addition of three new Bears. Care-a-Lot is a special commemorative bear. The first bear to exist in the kingdom of Care-a-Lot, this sparkly character comes with an authenticity certificate and digital content that is only available with her. Also launching for 2022 is Dream Bright Bear, the most optimistic Care Bear of all! Promoting self-belief, she encourages her friends to follow their dreams. Plus, get ready to meet a bear who is an advocate for going greener. Made from recycled materials, I Care Bear is designed to resemble the earth. She is the perfect balance of colour – green for land and blue for water – and her belly badge carries a cool nod to the environment.
Tonka is celebrating its 75th birthday with the launch of a Special Edition Mighty Tonka Truck. The Commemorative 1968 Tonka Dump Truck comes wrapped in special-edition packaging, with the brand’s story synopsis detailed on the side. Plus, don’t miss the all-new Tonka Mighty Monster RC, which marks the introduction of Tonka’s first RC made with real steel and 4WD monster action.

Finally, Basic Fun! is commemorating 30years of K’NEX with the roll-out of some exciting developments to help ensure the brand’s continued success. The team has reintroduced Amazing 8 Roller Coaster in the new K’NEX Thrill Rides collection. And there is also a multi-build sub-segment to discover, K’NEX Classics, as well as the all-new build and battle range.
